6. The lid is made of tinplate. During use, the protective coating on the surface will wear off, exposing the iron base which is prone to oxidation and rusting. Areas where the coating is not applied, such as the outer edge of the ring, are more susceptible to rusting. Do not soak in water; wipe dry promptly after cleaning to prevent water stains and keep it dry. Do not air dry naturally to extend its lifespan.
